Dulce de Leche
Dulce de leche in Spanish or doce de leite in Portuguese ("milk candy"), is a milk-based syrup. Found as both a sauce and a caramel-like candy, it is popular across Latin America. It is prepared by slowly heating sweetened milk to create a product similar in taste to caramel.
Kosher
Cholov Yisroel (Hebrew: ) refers to all dairy products, including cheese and non-fat dry milk powder, which have been produced under the supervision of a Jew.
Under Jewish halachic law, milk is kosher only if it comes from a kosher species of animal (such as cows and sheep) and milk from a non-kosher species (such as horses, pigs, and camels) is forbidden.
